Project Description
PUBLIC PARK PATHWAY
CUSTOM FIXTURE DESIGN AND LAYOUT DESIGN
NYC | 2016
Kate Sweater designed and engineered these custom pathway light and up-light bollards for this public park pathway in New York City. These bollards are unique because they incorporate custom extra-wide pathway optics to maintain a low level of adaptation for pedestrians at night. They also feature an adjustable up-light component which highlights some of the canopy that envelopes pedestrians overhead, adding some magic to the nighttime experience.
Kate Sweater’s Role:
- Design and engineering of custom pathway bollards
- Work with manufacturer to build custom bollards
- Architectural lighting design layout of bollards along pathway
- Aim and adjust fixtures after install
